Hooray for our volunteers, the time that you spend with our classroom makes all the difference~Mrs. Bredlie, Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Thayer, and Mr. van den Berg. We are looking for a writing/typing editor and a Monday baggie book listener beginning in January. If you would like to help please contact us. Grandparent volunteers are welcome too! It's been another fabulous week of learning in room 167! Students have been crafting, learning about holiday celebrations in Sweden and Uganda, and enjoyed reading time & a gift exchange with our 4th grade buddies! Check out these cute pictures of them in their P.J.'s. .Their 4th grade buddy gave them a special woven basket filled with candy. The basket is meant to be hung on the Christmas tree and refilled every year with yummy treats. What a special keepsake! Students took their math assessment on telling time to the hour and half hour. Students did very well at telling time to the hour, but most still need practice telling time to the half hour. Money will be our next unit of study when we return to school in January. Monday is holiday dress up, Tuesday is ugly sweater day and also holiday store. This is our last newsletter for 2016. Over the holiday break all students are encouraged to try and complete some lessons on mathletics.com or play "live mathletics" and don't forget to read, read, read! WINTER BREAK FUN~ There are lots of free events in the Berry room at the Noel Wien library over the holiday break. Check out this website link for a complete schedule of fun, movies & activities.
