In an effort to get everything organized and see what needs to be ordered for next year, we will make this Thursday our last day for baggie books. Please look around your home and return any bags of books or extra books you would like to donate to our classroom. Thank you to those who thought of us during your spring cleaning! Mrs. Milles sent in a great box of books for the class. Also please return any library books to Mrs. Sisson.
Exciting News! One of our favorite places, the Forget-Me-Not used bookstore in the Literacy Council building on Gaffney road, has announced “Free Book Fridays.”
That’s right, every Friday all children visiting the bookstore take home a
free paper back book.
Students took their Topic 14 test on graphing and data on Monday and today we begin our new math topic on shapes and geometry. The class will be studying 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes.
Last week we visited the Alaska Room and created some beautiful art, beaded a necklace, and drew stories after Ms. Henry told interesting stories about growing up in Venetie, Alaska. Ask your child about the interesting props she used to tell her stories.
