Our trip to Holm Town Nursery was fantastic! Students had fun planting flowers and completing a green house scavenger hunt on their F.I.F. A big thank you to our parent volunteers Mrs. Gerhauser, Mr. White, Mrs. Salinas, Mr. Ben, Mrs. Lewis & her mother! Next Friday, PTA is hosting a book swap and pajama read-in. Students can bring in their used books to donate to the swap this week. Donations should be dropped off in Mrs. Kegley's room or in the front entry before or after school. When a student donates a book they will receive a ticket to get a book during Friday's book swap. Students are encouraged to wear their PJ's but no stuffed animals please. During the read-in, I would like to have "mystery" guests pop in for a read aloud. This is a chance for you to share one of your favorite children's books, or one of your student's favorite books with our class. If you are free and would like to sign-up to be mystery guest, please let me know! The time slots I have planned are: 1:20, 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, and 2:20. Thank you! We will be reviewing the word wall words covered this year for an end-of-the year word wall check. Please see the "Word Wall Words" tab for the complete list or use the list included in the homework folder. Students were introduced to their new math topic on Money last week. We practiced subtracting and adding using the cent symbol. This week we will continue with estimating, problem solving and then take Topic 14 test on Wednesday. | Chloe feels close to her sisters Hannah and Kayleigh and also her mom.
