Homework folders went home today with math pages, a sheet for writing, reading log, and 30 minutes of Mathletics. Please help your child remember to complete all parts by Wednesday. If you are unable to access Mathletics.com from home, laptops are available on Tuesdays before or after school. Students should also review the word wall word list for the year. We will have a 20 word check next Friday.
Several second graders have outside explorations this quarter. Remember all gear is still required for our unpredictable temperatures. Students should bring a light-weight jacket to leave in the classroom to provide a thinner layer when needed.
Thank you to Mr. Banning, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Lehrer for visiting the airport with us. One student commented, "I didn't realize there was so much I hadn't seen, because I've been here a bunch!" We enjoyed our behind-the-scenes look at what happens with our luggage, bucketing up on an airplane, and learning some Fairbanks aviation history with Pete Haggland. We need a volunteers to help with Read Naturally, a computer based reading program, just 30 minutes a day, even if you can only come one day a week!
