On Thursday there were representatives from the university to present “I Know I Can” to the second grade. Each child received a book for home & made a postcard about a career interest. Look for these to arrive in the mail in a couple of years!
This is the final weekend for the production of Elf by FLOT Jr. Many Barnette students are cast members. Don’t miss this entertaining show. For details and tickets, visit FLOT.
Smiling faces were shown by all during our time at the Children's Museum on Friday. Thank you to our helpers Mrs. Thayer and Mr. van den Berg for joining us on our snowy walk. It was the perfect day for a trek in the snow*!*
We will continue our poetry unit after Thanksgiving break with Mrs. Moore teaching her week of language arts. Students will be writing many poems over the next few weeks and picking one to share for Poetry and Pie on December 15th. Families are welcome to come and celebrate our accomplishments! Mrs. Moore will introduce new word wall words on on the 27th. Students should try and review all word learned this year over the break!
